Deputy Michael Fitzmaurice Reappointed to Oireachtas Agriculture Committee
Independent Ireland Spokesperson on Agriculture and TD for Roscommon-Galway, Michael Fitzmaurice, has been reappointed to the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
Party Leader Michael Collins stated: I am delighted to announce Deputy Fitzmaurice' reappointment, he is well known for his steadfast advocacy for farmers and rural communities, not just in his constituency but around Ireland, he brings a wealth of experience and commitment to the committee and he is a TD who works tirelessly to deliver for farmers and the agricultural industry."
In his previous tenure, Deputy Fitzmaurice was instrumental in highlighting critical issues affecting the agricultural sector. His dedication to ensuring that rural voices are heard in national policy discussions has been widely acknowledged.
Upon his reappointment, Deputy Fitzmaurice stated:
